Sunway
University Toastmasters Club is planning to go on a three days two night trip
(8th to 10th November) for our members to attend
the Toastmasters Semi-Annual Convention in Ipoh,
Perak.
The objective of this trip is to help the members to be more exposed to
Toastmasters International’s environment where they will learn more about
communication and leadership. It is also to help the youths to be more involved in networking, boost their self
esteem and having the chance to meet plenary speakers to not only inspire but
also help members to widen their perspectives.
In addition to
that, one of our members,
Mirosha Somasundram is the champion for the Division
B Humorous Speech Contest.
She will be not only be representing Sunway University
Toastmasters Club but also Division B in the said Semi Annual Convention. This
is to also allow members going to Ipoh to support her, as this is the first time
the club has had a representative and to compete in the National Finals!
We have 13 members already signed up and they are all students. depart
on the 8th of October at approximately 2pm from Sunway University. Departure
from Ipoh on 10th Oct will be
at 9am to return to Sunway University.
It was one of an enriching experience !! Thank you Toastmasters International!
We bonded better, indeed!
