Year End BBQ Party ; 19.12.2014

Well, maybe we spoke too soon. So what if there's no meeting? There's always the yearly BBQ partyyyy! ;)

Well besides the good food, we all look forward to pushing each other into the pool as its a pool side party. Most of the time, it was about running than talking. Running, meaning, running away from each other before we get pushed into the water.

There were delicious burgers and ice cream made by Jonathan. Man, he can cook!

Everyone worked hand in hand to get everything prepared. From the food, to drinks, and well.... Logistics. That was a challenge, but everyone somehow managed it.

See what i meant by having to run away? Well, Hisham failed ;P

Our president working hard to feed his hungry members

And then the girls.... Eating. Hey! They swam hard.

It was a fun night with random water games. Not the proper ones. Most of the time, we were playing "Who can hold their breath underwater the longest". Cliche, I know. But well, it never gets old.

Farewell Meeting ; 20.11.2014

*wipes tears*

Yes, the title says it all. It was our final meeting of the year.

We had table topics given by Nurdina Kasim who gave one of the most touching topics. We had our two senior members leaving the club as they were returning to their homelands. They "volunteered" themselves to say a few words. The two members were Musthaq from Sri Lanka and Hisham from Maldives.

There was a memorable line that Hisham said which still rings in all of our ears ;

"I came to toastmasters to make new friends, but i found a family"

It was indeed very touching, and heartwarming.

Our very energetic and ever enthusiastic Seng Zhen became a Competent Communicator on this very day. Yay you!!

So as you all know, we started this new tradition where we celebrate the birthdays of our beloved members every three months. This was for those who were born in October, November, and December. Look at them gathering around it like its some.... fire camp o.O

Overall, it was a bittersweet meeting. As much as we didn't want it to end, it did. That left us with about two months of no meeting fun. Well, January, bring it on.
