Sunway University Toastmasters Club 3rd Meeting (21st June 2012)

Superheroes. Love them or hate them, you have to admit they really are quite amusing. That was the theme for the table topics session for Sunway University Toastmasters 4th meeting. We were very fortunate to have  a very energetic and enthusiastic TM How Yee as our Table Topics Master.

The evening started off interesting enough with table topics participants having to talk about various topics related to superpowers and their favorite superheroes. Definitely a wake up call after a hearty dinner.

Prepared Speech Session

After such an entertaining table topics session what else could be better than an even more entertaining prepared speech session?

I am ADE - TM Adeline

As usual the members of Sunway University Toastmaster Club never ceased to amuse us with a lineup of entertaining speeches. First up was TM Adeline with her Icebreaker Speech, 'ADE', This was a nickname for her full name Adeline, using those 3 letters she summarized her character, dreams and ambitions in a headstrong and confident manner. It certainly left all of us wondering whether or not we had such a clear purpose in life.

Sleeping Early makes you wealthy strong and healthy - TM Kelvin

Next in line was TM Kelvin with his speech 'Sleep Early'. During this speech he explained the importance and benefits of sleeping and waking up early. Something which most of our club members as college students aren't very good at doing.

Chocolate, The Food of The Gods - TM Undarmaa

After which we were treated had to look with anticipation as TM Undarmaa peeled open a Cadbury
Chocolate Bar in front of us, rub some chocolate some on her palm while explaining to us why Chocolate was called the Food of the Gods, all this while not even being treated to a single bite

I used to be very boyish - TM Sheryl Chieng

Last but not least was TM Sheryl who gave a speech about her childhood and growing up as a very 'masculine' female, before actually discovering the girl inside her.

Time really flies when you're enjoying yourself, before we knew it, it was time to listen to the evaluation of all the participants.
