Demo Meeting ; 02.09.2014

This was the second demo meeting that we've had this year, but the first demo meeting for the new term. This meeting had guests from various clubs, including Help University, Taylor's College, Puchong English, Sai Masters and more.

The crowd you see in the last picture above was just 3/4 of the whole crowd. It was a big night for us!

One of the main reasons for the meeting to be a success was the fact that DTM Victor Ong was the Toastmaster of the Evening.

DTM Devikamani was the General Evaluator of that meeting, and it was an honour to have such an experienced and prominent toastmaster to attend our meeting and play an important role.

After this meeting, we had a long queue looking for our VPM to enquire about the membership details.

53rd meeting ; 21.08.2014

We started this new tradition beginning 2014/2015 term, where meetings held will have themes.

This actually kicked off very well with the 52nd meeting simply because the theme was "Independence Day" in conjunction with the Merdeka month.

To make that even better, the dress code for this meeting was traditional wear. Members were encouraged to attend in their traditional attires to boost the Merdeka month vibe.

It was interesting to see a foreign student, Sharif Ahmed, playing the role of the Toastmaster of the Evening, as the theme was mainly about Malaysia's Independence Day. He opened up the meeting with his positive opinions regarding this country and handled the meeting very smoothly with his charming style as always.

Marilyn Lai won the best project speech award for her dramatic advanced speech. It was about how her dreams became reality (she punched her mom in her dream. Yes, she wasn't kidding about dreams coming true). She also mentioned about her boyfriend in her speech which caused many hearts to be broken that night.

Besides the interesting dress code, this meeting was also different in the sense that it did not have an agenda, but HEYYYY IT WAS STILL A GOOD ONE :)

51st Meeting ; 17.07.2014

We are proud to say that one of our own ;  Nurdina Kasim was the General Evaluator for this meeting. She played the role like she had an experience of 10 years or something. Great job, gurl!

The best table topics speaker award went to a visiting member from Sunway Toastmasters Club. It was amazing how he gave an inspirational speech just within those 2 minutes given to him.

Mirosha won the best project speech award for her speech "Goal" which was about her passion for football and how it unites the world.

Best evaluator award went to none other than our very own president who.... had to present the award to himself.

50th Meeting ; First Meeting of The 2014/2015 Term!

Sup, ya'll!

Yes, I know. We've disappeared for some time. Well, here we are again. Refreshed with the new term :)

Mirosha Somasundram was the Toastmaster of the Evening.

Jonathan Moh gave his very first and impressive Presidential Address that got everyone pumped up for the next term.

Zahir Ahmad, from Taylor's Lakeside University Toastmasters Club who also happens to be an Area Governer was the General Evaluator. He did an amazing job.

Eric Tan gave his CC1, and even better, won the best speaker award! What's better than getting a standing ovation with a best speaker award for your first speech, huh?

Nawal Lyana won the best table topics speaker award for speaking about procrastination. Oh well.... We all feel her.

Last but not least, Our past president, Victor Ong won the best evaluator award. Now nobody else would get it, simply because he is Victor Ong. A veteran in this club, indeed.
